Health Benefits of Acacia Gum
Bones
• Acacia Gum is useful for healing Bone fracture.
• It is useful for inflammatory Arthritis, Bone fracture healing and muscle spasm (such as trismus).
Foods & Bones
Diabetes
• Acacia Gum seeds has anti-diabetic effect of depressing blood glucose level in normoglycemic by involving in the release of insulin from pancreatic beta-cells and its barks decoction produce a significant reduction in blood glucose levels.
Note:
* It seeds barks decoction Hypoglycaemic effect is due to its direct (or indirect) stimulation of beta–cells of islets of langerhans to secrete more insulin.
Foods & Diabetes
Digestive System
• Acacia Gum lowers Cholesterol as its soluble dietary Fibers binds to Cholesterol so it can’t be absorbed into the body through The Intestine, hence eliminated from the body through the excretory system.
• It might not get the Cholesterol-lowering glory that Psyllium does but still worth considering.
• It seems that Acacia Gum is fermented and therefore loses its ability to match up to Psyllium.

Immune System
• Acacia Gum as a powerful anti-oxidant and free-radical Fighter. Free-radicals are a conFirmed cause of aging, Acacia Gum’s free-radical Fighting abilities may support healthy aging.
• Acacia Gum bark extract can decrease UV-induced mutagenicity.
• Its seeds extracts show more significant inhibitory action on human trypsin (by hydrolysis of benzoyl Arginine p-nitroanilide) and chymotrypsin (by hydrolysis of acetyl Tyrosine ethyl ester), thus more effective in preventing total proteolytic (caseinolytic) activity of the bovine system (human and bovine pancreatic proteases).
Foods & Immune System
Infections
• Acacia Gum leaves decoction have anti-viral activity against Turnip mosaic virus, while its bark extract inhibit Potato virus.
Foods & Infections
Intestine
• Its aqueous leaf extract are nematicidal against Meloidogyne incogenita as it inhibit its hatching.
• Acacia Gum keeps microbiome happy as its soluble Fiber makes it to be an effective Prebiotic, increasing the production of Probiotic bacterial Strains Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus (two kinds of bacteria crucial for keeping the Immune System running and our Digestive Systems operating smoothly).
• Acacia reduces symptoms of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), a common disorder that affects the large intestine).
Foods & Intestine
Musculoskeletal System
• Acacia Gum is useful for inflammatory Arthritis and muscle spasm (such as trismus).
Foods & Musculoskeletal System
Reproductive Health
• Its stem bark extract have anti-fertility and semen coagulant activity, where as its flowers show abortifacient activity with foetuses having gross external morphological and skeletal defects.
Foods & Reproductive Health
Weight Management
• Acacia Gum triggers weight loss and a significant reduction in body mass index (BMI) and body fat percentage.
