Immune System

Immune System

Bee Propolis Fights Infection and possesses Anti-Microbial, anti-oxidative, anti-ulcer, and anti-tumor activities (Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention, January 2006).

Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester (CAPE- one active compound from propolis) is known to have anti-carcinogenic, Anti-Inflammatory and Immuno-Modulatory properties. CAPE is a potent anti-metastatic agent that can inhibit cell migration, colony formation and invasive capacity of malignant/tumor cells (Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, May 2006).

Bee Propolis is well known for its Anti-Microbial activity, anti-bacterial effect against Staphylococcus aureus, anti-fungal effect against Yeast (Candida albicans), and even an anti-viral effect against Avian Influenzavirus.

Bee Propolis stimulates anti-body production perhaps accounting for its reputation as an immune-system enhancer (Journal of Ethnopharmacology in 2005).

• Anti-oxidants in propolis have kidney and hepatoprotective action which protect Liver and kidney cells against damage, while its Anti-Cancer activity works against certain types of Liver Cancer cells.

Infections

Infections

Bee Propolis has an immunomodulating action (stimulates the Immune System to improve its response against Infection and disease), hence its effectiveness in treating bacterial and fungal Infections, reducing inflammation and pain and exerting an Anti-Cancer activity.

It activates macrophages which stimulates the production of antibodies, supports the activity of natural killer cells and enhances the overall response of the Immune System, particularly cell-mediated and humoural immunity.

Bee Propolis ethanol extracts, successfully inhibit the growth of gram-positive bacteria (such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Enterococcus and others)

• It has an impressive anti-fungal activity against several Strains of Candida.

• Its excellent anti-bacterial and antifungal properties are believed to be a result of its anti-oxidant content.

Bee Propolis is an amazing natural remedy for throat Infections.

It can help reduce symptoms and clear the Infection faster in cases of streptococcal /” target=”_self”>Pharyngitis, Tonsillitis, the common cold etc.
